TCI offers this course in partnership with Lyncole, an industry leader in the design and installation of LPS. This course is designed to provide attendees with an understanding of NFPA-780, NFPA-495, DoDM 4145.26, and other applicable standards as they pertain to the proper installation and inspection of a properly operating lightning protection system, grounding and bonding of facilities and equipment, and management of electrostatic discharge. The course investigates how and why damage can occur and outlines approved defenses, when properly employed, for maximum lightning protection and electrical safety for energetic and high-risk facilities. Most, if not all, attendees have active LPS at their site or are looking to install one. We will perform field tests to solidify material learned in the classroom. Attendees will be confident in their ability to spot potential concerns on their own systems.
